I'm getting ready to replace the oil pan gasket and the overdrive sump gasket. Any goop (Permatex, etc.) that I should use to (hopefully) make a better seal? And if so, do you put it on the gasket or

I like Hylomar. Preferably the original, but Hylomar HPF will do. Coat both sides of the gasket with Hylomar. Make sure the mating surfaces are absolutely clean and dry with no traces of old gaskets
