1. The power of Webers is maximized by having straight runners. 2. It's not a problem on RHD cars. 3. The demand is small. 4. The molds already existed without it.

I'm not sure what you mean by a LHD/RHD version. There are problems and solutions for getting Webers to fit: (1) the master cylinder needs to be replaced with a shorter one and and the spacer removed
