- The conversions to v-8 were usually mounted forward of the trans, making it a mid-engine. Some mounted the Alum 215 v-8 aft (rear engine, like the stock 6 cyl 2.7 liter)

- I asked a while back about batteries- I ended up buying a INTERSTATE gel type, cost of about $125. looks identical to OPTIMA. haven't tried it yet but I like having a battery that won't leak! Steve W
