Thanks Dave, It is odd to me but the Spit list seems adamant about GL4 but I can't seem to grasp the reasoning. Also does the detergent damage anything in a straight 30W or 20W 50? Super confused....

Yup I think you need to take the clutch off. Might as well take off the clutch and replace it while you got er out if you don't know it's history. You don't want to have to pull it in the near future
