Correct Frank! The 9CG engine was 'introduced' with the new Mark II along with the 1 1/4" carbs and a few other minor changes. Biff, AN5, 'Kermit' & HAN6, 'Ole Gray' difference but I carbs.

The 9CG blocks did have three vice one camshaft bearings. Herb was looking for differences he could see from the outside. If the machine shop gave him a 9CG for his 9C block I would say he came out a
