To tell the truth, I've never supported the engine/tranny by the rocker studs. I've always run a long bolt thru a chain and into the rear exhaust manifold stud hole and into the alternator bracket. C

I've run both the Weber downdraft and the stock HS-4 SUs on fresh 18GH HC engines with 3/4 cams. I believe the SUs provide more power (seat of the pants), if they're set up and working right. CR '69
