I have had a similar experience to this John. The 'output' from the motor is by a drive cable which is within a flexible outer cable. Both ends of this outer cable have to be firmly clamped in place.

I recently bled my clutch system quite easily using a Gunsons easibleed gadget, which uses air pressure from the spare tyre to force the fluid into the system. Having set it up all you need to do is
