If its domed or cheese-headed socket cap set screws you need, try Fastpak Fasteners in York. I've bought plenty of stainless fasteners from them, too. They do mail order and are on 01904 430990/4929

I agree on this one but you can chamfer the edges of pads and the (leading) edges of shoes. Beware of nasty dust, though. Don't wanna be pedantic but the squeaking is caused by vibration of the pad/s
