Are the main seal upgrade kits worth the trouble/expense? In my opinion yes but the housings sometimes need a bit of fitting, depending on how much the crank center has been changed due to line-borin

On all my racing Sprites/Midgets I just weld up the spider gears to lock the rear so both wheels are driving. Can this be done with the TRs as an alternative to a Detroit Locker or limited slip? Any

Everything I've read suggests the probe type is more accurate for tires. Absolutely! Surface temp will get you in the "ballpark" but to get the true temp you have to stick them. Yeah it's a PITA... G

currently running with a Bosch Blue coil, no visible resistor anywhere. The blue is internally ballasted IIRC, you can check between the LT terminals, around 2-3 ohms... Glen not a tweet ____________

Generally the layshaft bearing goes south because it's small and not all that well supported. I've heard that there are some fixes for this, including dual bearings on the rear end of the layshaft. A
