I'm at the same point with my Spit. I usually fill the gas tank FULL, this way no condensation occurs inside the tank. I also remove the battery, and put it in my basement, and charge it once a month

I have a '75 that has no EGR valve, but has the vacuum advance distributor with mechanical points. I believe the vacuum line from the distributor goes to a vacuum port on the bottom of my carb.(CD150

I have a '75 1500 and when I pull my drain plug on the engine, I get a lot of coolant! My drain plug on my 1500 is on the right side, I didn't know there was one on the left side, maybe I missed that
