Hi Barry, A mechanical fan always uses power - so electrical would have my preference. I've had two Citrokns with alu radiators. Worked fine to me. Less weight - less prone for corrosion I'd assume,

I had the same issue with my '71 GT. Leakage can be solved by replacing the two o-rings in the internals of the switch assy. Lo cost and no brake fluid should pass near the actual switch. After this

When the stabilizer becomes lose from the firewall, the grounding which is part of the electrical circuit, doews not function correctly anymore. One can determin is it is the temperature going wrong
