Something that no one has brought up in this iteration of the pipe thread is the case when PVC has a small leak. The depressurizing air will cause the pipe to chill, making it brittle. I believe that

Craftsman gets my vote for sockets. I've never broken one, and they offer some very nice portable sets with blow molded cases. I always know if I've misplaced a socket now. I received a set of 5 Snap

First of all, I think that the salesman is right. A butterfly wrench doesn't develop enough torque to be a problem with a good quality extension. I would stay away from HF for extensions though. I bo

I sent this message earlier, but I think that someone on the list probably got it...sorry. I'm wondering about people's experience with cheap air tools. I'm thinking of buying either a cutoff tool or

I used a Sawzall once to cut down a willow tree...they're amazing. I'm not too worried about cutting exhaust pipes, but the nuts and bolts can be a real pain. I recently did the (original) exhaust on

I bought a cheap set of 4 of these things several years ago. The design is such that there is a small setscrew that prevents the chisel end of the threaded rod from turning when the rod is tightened.

Well...Thanks for all the responses. I feel a little better about ordering the cheap air tools now. I also think that having a sidewinder ratchet for spark plugs is a better choice than an air ratche

I'll jump in on this one. I have several 1x4" fence pickets that make great racks for mounting on the wall. It's just right for aerosol cans, oil filters, and other little bottles and cans. I attach

I agree. I don't think that I would try this on my TR7 which has an underdesigned cooling system to begin with. It might make good sense on my Dodge Dakota which has an oversized radiator for towing.

I've thought about this too. Some additional things that I've thought of: 1. a pair of cheap cottom gloves. You might not need the Gojo! 2. An old sweatshirt. Provides warmth and protection if you ha

I have to put in a good word for AAA here too. I was towed this past weekend from Harrisburg PA (107 miles). We have the plus membership, so the tow cost us only $14 (100 miles free, $2.00 per mile a

My 16 gallon unit broke a couple of years ago, and I bought the cheapest one that I could. I almost never use my vac for wet pickup...mostly for vacuuming out the cars. I think the 1.5 gal unit with
