Here is my experiance sand balsting - it all depends on what you are blasting. If you are trying to blast paint - good luck I have found that it is easier to use a wire brush of a stripping solvent

You may want to talk to some 4 wheelrs about this. I know a friend of mine was talking to some people about this and they said it was great for wheelin, but that it made street driving a little hair
