Interesting information. My MGA seems faster than my MGB, but then again, it has an MGB engine in it. Maybe that makes its performance closer to the twin cam, but I am quite sure it won't do 113mph.

Better check your tach. In 4th overdrive (D-type, 3 synchro) you should do 22.3 mph/1000rpm. This comes out to about 2695rpm at 60 mph. The LH type (4 synchro) is almost the same. Now, if you are not

Can't tell you about the Marina gearbox, but I can tell you about the originally fitted MGB automatic gearbox. I looked this up in the Original MGB - page 86. Very few MGB's came to the US with one,
