Have new seats and needles in them. Dumb question does the ball end of the needle go up or down, I have em down. Think I did that because they leaked through the overflow the other way?

Got it running well enough to get the timeing adjusted within a few degrees in any case, helped a lot. Now it lopes, between 2300 and 1000 RPM, very disconcerting it is. But it is progress. Comment?

Thanks Peter for the tip. Took awile to get the vice grips just right but boy oh boy. Peter said use vice grips and cut the fuel delivery way way down. Had the engine smooth as silk at about 1500 RPM
