I just found a cheap phono preamp I could plug my turntable into and then right into the sound card in my computer. Then use the software of your choice.

I built mine out of the front rails cut out of a midget parts car. Has all the mounts for the radiator, tranny, everything, I havn't used it for any other motors though.
