A good many Bugeye owners eliminate the front bumper whether they have a forward tilting bonnet or not. :-) I took the bumper off my Bugeye in 1968 because IMO the car looks so much better without it

Many race cars are intentionally set up with negative camber to improve high speed cornering. It could have been done with offset trunnions or shims under the shocks. Does the car have lever shocks?

Disassembling and reassembling 1/4 elliptic springs is easy. The fun part is getting the dang things off of the car! The spring mounting box is usually full of 40+ years worth of crud and everything

I bought my Bugeye at a used sports car lot called "Sir Lance's Lot" on Commonwealth Avenue in Fullerton in 1968. Not a spot of rust anywhere. My Michigan Spridgets are a whole 'nuther story though.

My deep pink '61 Sprite was titled as a '63. It was built in May of '61, but it says '63 on the title as that was the year it was sold new and registered. My guess is that it sat on a dealer lot for
