Took another very quick look at the wiring tonight. I believe I do have the right switch. The reverse light switch is the one on the right side of the gear box pointed straight forward, right? Seems

The reverse lamp switch on my '73 Midget, and on the spare gearbox I have from a '72 is the one on the passenger's side pointing forward, with a green and green/brown wire pigtail coming out of it. N

Oh good grief! hehehe Gotta chuckle at myself over this one. No wonder no reverse lights when I unplugged the switch. Odd thing is - when I ordered a reverse lamp swtich from Motorhead I got one with

Yes, the switch I thought was the reverse lamp switch is the one pointing straight forward and it does have a green and green/brown pigtail. This seems to be the right wiring according to the wiring
