Thats a new one on me..... My 70 has a cowl switch but its for turning the overdrive on and off - no idea why anyone would want to do this but its there anyway, perhaps yours had been converted for a

I can confirm that on the 1969 model, the overdrive is supposed to be controlled by the right-hand stalk. The little switch on the left-hand side of the cowl is on on/off switch for the panel lights

It does doesnt it......I dont think Ill bother to change it back but one wonders why in the mists of time someone found it necessary to make a change like that - why would you want to disble the o/d?
