I suspect that the pump is a considerable bleed when it is inop ie initial charging of the system, before it is spinning. I don't see it as a check valve at that point, sorry to disagree. Generally s

Just reread this post, and I think I see the difference. I'm running 2 1/2 degrees camber up front and 4 1/2 in the back. Maybe the solid axle cars do need to run the higher pressures. Jim Norlin --O
