The TR6 rod is fine if you follow Kas' comp prep instructions and shot peen them. We used to shift at 7600 rpm and the rods never gave a problem. Carrillo rods used to use 1/4" rod bolts and the onl

I have another question about rods. Has anyone taken off to much material from the stock rods? How much was it? What happened to the rod? Just think ahead for my grinding process. Thanks Charly Mitch

FWIW, my Carillo rods with JE pistons (and bolts, wrist pins, rings) save a total of around 270g rotating mass per pot over lightened stock components, or a massive 375g/pot over stock components. I
