Try a jack under the car....place the jack so it raises against the outrigger. Don't raise the car off the ground, just take the tension off the door. If this works, you might need to replace sills..

The lever inside the latch plate can break and not allow it to be pulled fully open. Try and reach in and see if you can pull the lever somehow. Just welded mine a few weeks ago in my 57'. Are you go
