Hi Todd, Put the nut back on but loosen it a couple of turns from tight. Position yourself in the seat, perhaps with a couple of blocks of wood under your feet for purchase, such that your upper legs

I just removed two by this method. Take the aluminum bracket that held the shaft to the car frame off, take out the rubber, put it on and snug up the bolts, making it surround the shaft at the base
