- i have noticed that the knockoffs made in the last few years must be of a softer brass than the old style. i never use anything but a copper or lead hammer on knockoffs and it seems the new ones tend

- I stopped using hammers several years ago. I have two wrenches I use - the first is a commercial one I got from either TRF or Moss, can't remember. It is metal and fits over the ears and is about 3'
