my personal choice-if 261 unavailable i choose a 250 over a 292 ANY day!!! 292 can be a real gas hog. the 250 stock is a super strong motor and if you want to rebuild-pump it up to 9.00:1 compression

The 261 is just like a 235 its hard to tell them apart. The 250 or 292 are a more modern style of engine they will use some parts of the small block V8 it is more of a universal engine then the 261 t
