I've had three TF GMC's (2-V8's, 1-6cyl) and they all did the same thing, all three had the original ignition switch. So my guess is that you do have the original ignition switch. Pee-Wee. -- 1958 G

Don't know if Chevrolet is the same as GMC, but my '56 is set up with "off locked/off/run/start" and my '57 is "off/run/start". Neither switch has "Acc." position. Mike Boteler '56 4400 Stake '56 640

There Should be a wire from the switch on the top of the starter to a terminal on the ignition switch and one from another terminal to the ballast resistor. The other end of the ballast resistor is c
