The problem with raising the compressor is that mine needs to be bolted to the floor as it is a 60 gallon tank and is a 240 volt hard wired unit. The bolts I used are long enough that I can raise it

I also have a 60 gallon compressor, bolted to the floor. I added an electrically operated valve to the drain line and plumbed it outside. I planned on putting a timer on it that would allow the water

At a garage sale a couple years ago I found an automatic valve to do that. It plumbs into the pressure relief port on the head and the drain. Every time the compressor starts or stops it goes POP and

I've heard of these valves, but never seen one. I was told by a compressor repair fellow that they "were no good" because the air needs to cool in the tank before the water will condense out, but I

Automatic valves to drain compressor tanks work OK, but are made to open and drain when you drain all the air out and the pressure drops to zero. I've used an air drain valve from an air brake system

I'm surprised, I run the compressor for long periods sometimes, to the point of hot air coming out at 90 PSI and fogging up the glass bead cabinet, but I hardly get any water out of the drain. I'm su

Mine is actually plumbed in to the big water trap rather than the tank. I get hardly any water in the tank but lots in the trap. Basically, if it's automatic and helps any at all it's a good thing. k
