Why not get two..one each for pre- and post. With one, I would go pre-turbo. Gives you the raw reading off the engine, which IMHO is what really matters. Nothing much should really change post-turbo.

concerned temp is at Tsub3 which is the inlet temp of the turbine. This is what is going to push the material limits of the turbine as it is the highest. As the gasses expend work through the turbin

I don't see where the minor drag from the turbo bearings would cause more heat than the turbo would lose through the housing. The housing is a bunch thicker than the pipe & cat that feed it. I do not
