I am placing the motor/tranny and disk brakes out of a '74 Midget into my Bugeye. Is there any reason I should/shouldn't go ahead and do the rear end as well? Any other pieces to grab I am forgetting

If you mean the pumpkin, you can do that, which would give you a 3.9 ratio which is better for highway cruising in place of the 4.22 which gives you more low end torque. If you meant the entire axle,

There are some difficulties major, and minor, or installing later rear ends in Bugeyes. Springs and their mountings are completely different requiring major surgery for no gain. Don't do it. Minor d
