I had the same symptom a couple of weeks ago...it was the battery. The batt voltage was 12v with lights on, but collapsed when the starter tried to engage. Put your meter on it and try to start it. I

Is 12.5 to 12.8 VDC normal charging voltage for the old generator/voltage regulator systems? Seems low to me like maybe the voltage regulator isn't working right. Hi Ol'truckers, I need help! Over th

Some suggestions, don't have to follow this order exactly, but I think the order is logical given what you've described (work on the starter circuit first, then move on the the charging circuit). 1.

If the voltage is going away at the batt. then the Batt. is shot. Take it (batt.) to auto zone they will test it for free. Pat 67 SS 46 AD -- Original Message -- From: "Dana Muise" <dana@spazzco.com>
