Anyone know the heads and camshaft used on the 315 horse 283? The RPO number for the 315 horse 283 is RPO 354. I have been unsuccsful finding camshaft specs or head casting number. Thanks. oletrucks

Found a little more info. These are the infamous "double hump" heads. Seem to come in both 2.02/1.60 and 1.94/1.50 valve sizes. As used in RPO 354 the compression ratio was 11:1. Many web sites claim

Ok. The 3782461 heads are available and have 64 cc chambers. With the small bore of the 283, a 64 cc chamber will yield either 8.4:1 or 9.7:1 using Keith Black KB165 or KB166 pistons which should be
