- I have a 57 that I thought was a 1/2 ton, the ride is tough and I was wondering if the 3/4 tons had more leaf springs than the 1/2 tons. I want to lower the truck a bit and smooth out the ride, anyon

- How many leafs do you have on the back? I think stock was 7. On my '58 half ton, I can go up to the 3/4 ton extra heavy duty springs at 10 leafs each. I know that because that's what I have on there.

- My 57 GMC 1/2 ton had 8 leaf springs in the front. The GMC Master Parts Book shows both 7 and 8 leaf springs. The only documentation I have for 57 Chevy pickups is a Canadian parts book that shows 6
