POR-15 doesn't store very well. once you open the can it has limited life. you can extend this by putting a layer of plastic wrap over the can before putting the lid on. A 4 oz. can covers 12 sq ft.
I can attest to the usefulness of the plastic wrap -- I have a gallon can of POR-15 that I sealed with plastic wrap. It also helps you get the can back open -- otherwise it could seal itself shut. Ti

I have used marbles in small containers along with plastic wrap. The marbles bring the fluid level up, thus replacing the air with the liquid. The less air the longer the product last, it worked grea
Do not open the paint can when using POR-15. It will destroy the can seal surface and eventually ruin your paint. What you need to do is poke two holes in the can and seal them with sheet metal screw
