Assuming no turn signals, that is all that is involved. Even though there wasn't a fuse in the circuit originally, if it were me I'd protect the circuit with a fuse between the switch and where ever

Tom, wiring diagram in Shop Manual. do you have seperate turn and stop signals? My stop light switch goes to the turn signal switch witch had an extra wire to have brake lights work when turn signals
