I think they just put out hydrogen and oxygen, which are not problematic. In fact they make little caps that recombine the gasses into water and drain them back into the battery. Regards, Grant S. o

Its the hydrogen gas that it is emitted during charging (i believe another gas may be emitted also) that is what to watch out for. It won't harm you by itself but you definitly don't want to be smoki
