How can I get the original speedometer to work with an electronic transmission (4L60E)? I thought I could swap out the parts in the 4L60E with a 700R4's mechanical speedo drive, but since I'm also us

You might want to check with this outfit. Bob K in PHX, AZ (I just happened to see them on the net) the shop oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959

I think the mechanical speedo can be hooked up to the 4L60E. The gear may have to be pressed on though, meaning the tailhousing would have to come off. None of that may be an issue; it is for sure on
