I don't remember which one, but I talked to Old Air or Vintage Air a while back setup for my Suburban and was told that it would be about twice the normal cost because it had to be a higher capacity

I disagree about R12. A properly designed system with R134a will equal the performance of the R12 once the system is started. They just don't seem to have the instant cold that the R12 systems did. R

The compressor went out on my Corvette a few years back; it was replaced with an identical/original unit and I swapped from R12 to R134 at the same time. I can't tell the difference though I would ha

I performed the upgrade from R12 to R134 on my 85 S-10 blazer and feel I get better performance with the R134--not as quick just as bruce mentioned but very satisfactory none the less. --wayne Wayne
