Most people try to get away from the 3:90 and 4:10 that comes in the 56's. Keeps the RPM up to high when driving at normal speeds. Most 56's came with a 3:90 rear, so ya might wanna double check what

the reason that smokey says that 3.90 or 4.10 is a better gear for him is has a 3/4 ton if i remember correctly he most likely has a 4.56 now 3.90 with some tall tires will make a big difference for
