Thanks to all who replied, I finally got the locking pin out. (the king pins are another story altogether) Anyway, and I'm not sure if I can give a good description or not, but I also came up with an

I don't remember which truck you drive, but the GMC Master Parts Book shows a standard 3/8" lock washer and a 3/8 x 24 nut as the only attaching hardware for the locking pin. Thanks to all who repli
