- Gage, that is a function of your dimmer switch, the outside headlight sealed beams have 2 filaments and 3 prongs for the for the plug into the harness the inside headlight sealed beams have only 1 fi

- I would recommend running heavier wires through relays for the headlights. I am doing that with mine right now and I have a Painless wiring kit installed although I don't think the problem is unique

- I've never understood the need for fusible links. I had one go in a 83 Dodge, and it took the dealer several hours and abt $150 to replace it. I'd check. It seems to me that an appropriate size fuse
