I've recently added a mig conversion kit to my 115 volt Lincoln wire welder. I must have been shorted an instruction sheet somewhere, as I can't find any listing of gas regulator settings. I am using

You need enough gas flow to get a smooth weld...in good conditions, ie. inside with no wind blowing, you don't need much gas flow, but outside, with wind blowing, and welding something with a gap in

Michael, the regulator setting isn't that critical because the gas should only flow when you have the trigger pulled. Open up the valve a goodly way and then the gun will do the rest for you. Regard

When mig welding you only need 12 to 15 lbs. of gas. That is if there is no wind or breeze from a fan, then you may need more gas. Also if you don't already know, your nozzle should only be an inch a

isnt that a lot of argon for this type of welding? i think that mixture would be better for globular or even axial spray, but regular sheel metal welding? wouldnt it be better, and a whole lot cheape
