- I used the front motor mounts like you are talking about . The built 350 has so much torque that the fan destroyed the rad. I than used the side mounts , 2 sets later I went to the self locking type

- Dennis I went through the same process when I installed a 305 engine and turbo 350 tranny in my 56 truck. In a nutshell I dis-assembled the front of the truck, removed the original engine and tranny.
