With over 500 list members, somebody has to have both a measuring tape and a 55-59 truck! Now that I have your attention, I STILL need to know an approximate distance from the rear axle to the frame.

Well my 48 has 500lbs of concrete on the rear axle and has 8 1/2"(top of axle tube to bottom of frame). My 49 with very little wieght has 9 1/2". I took my measurement from top of tube to frame. Eric

measurement. OKay, since I have my truck up here with me know, I'll measure it tomorrow morning for you. BTW, I meant to tell you I figured out why the perch to pinion offset was at a 10* difference.

Because mine is a daily driver at this time, I jacked it up so that the springs were at full extension,then measured from the bottom of the frame at the center of the arch next to the center of rhe
