I have a GMC 100 and I need to know what engine it had originally. It is a straight six with the three in the column. I also heard they put different engines in the Advanced design is this true? Can

Original engine should be a 228 inline 6. Confirm by reading the engine number stamped on the distributor mounting pad on the block. First 3 numbers should be the engine size. All Jimmy sixes 228/23
