I had to buy a thermostat housing today for my 350 Chevy engine and the one I got has a rubber o-ring built in to the bottom of it. Has anyone used one of these and if so did it work and do I, or sho

They work fine without the normal gasket, but with a bead of silicone sealant around the outer surface, away from the O-ring. I have one on a Ford 289 and two SB Chevys with no leakage problems. The
