With Jim's vast amount of knowledge on things like this, he id'd it as being a Muncie SM465. Not actually the car version of this tranny but the truck as seems that particular tranny is very popular

I have acquired what I think is a Muncie 3 speed transmission from an AD truck. It has the flange on the tail housing for the torque tube. The casting number is 59616 and the other numbers are GM 1 a
