Sorry but aren't you contradicting yourself here? Your 67 should have a non-synchro first gearbox unless it's been fitted with a later gearbox. Maybe I missed that part. The 4-synchro gearbox started

I think the five mains started coming out in 1968. So the '67 should have a three main (unless it is a late car - look for reverse lights, a late-in-the-year addition). Of course, the car will have a
