Hi List: Would some of you look at and read the description and "Buy it now" price of a 72B on eBay. I think it might not be a wise purchase, but I am unfortunately interested. eBay # 2481547813. I g

The telling point will be the true meaning of the "10 foot" paint job. A visual check and maybe a magnet test on the rockers will determine whether the asking price is reasonable or perhaps way too h

Well, it photographs nicely. Unfortunately the pictures and descriptions don't really address the important points. It is obvious that the exterior paint is newer than the engine compartment paint --

The engine condition would be the one thing to worry about, but looking at the overall external condition it does not look like a bad buy if you can handle the color. Brown is not a very popular MGB

He describes the color as "gold", but it looks to me like a metallic bronze. That doesn't seem like an original color, at any rate. -- == Max 1967 Fastback 273 Commando Factory disc brakes Mountain V

Well, the buy-it-now price seems a little high to me (I only paid $1250 for my '78). The paint "looks" nice, but as Max points out, it doesn't seem to match the engine compartment. Besides the lack o

I don't know if this is "the" definitive listing of colors by year, but I can't find a Brown '72 color at http://www.teglerizer.com/mgcolors/index.html - Paul Tegler's excellent MG color list. So, ju

I've seen worse '72's (like ol' rusty red beside my garage). I'm not too down with this: Buyer to pay high bid amount, 8.1% sales tax, $24.00 title transfer, $25.00 processing fee, $35.00 state servi
