- The easiest and quickest way to see if its truly magnesium is to bring along a road flare, hold it up to wheel, if it explodes into flames with particularly noxious fumes, you found a true mag wheel.

- A bare 5.5" wide magnesium 8 spoke Silverstone wheel weights 10.2 lbs., the aluminum wheels are heavier. The magnesium wheels tarnish quickly if not painted. Any repair should be done by a magnesium
