If there is a dissimilar metal combination it is a good idea to electrically insulate one from the other. Simply anodizing the aluminum is one approach (specifying a color looks trick). Never- Seize

You're right-- the current from that battery is what eats up the metals. I just remembered a surface treatment for magnesium-- Dow No. 7, a passivation; there are a few places that can do it-- usual

GE Glyptol Insulating Paint is a great product. Spray and brush. We use it for a primer near the ocean because it works. . Over this, use an epoxy primer for electrical insulation.

Isn't any fastener of different metal subject to corrosion no matter what "coating" is put on? (I'll make an exception for platings/anodizings that provide a crush- and abrasion-resistant interface).
